Curs: 2015/2016Reduction oxidation reactions are chemical transformations of great practical importance, since study phenomena such as combustion of many substances, the oxidation of metals and production processes of energy from the batteries. Likewise, the redox reactions are particularly important in the metabolism of living beings. Cellular respiration and photosynthesis, for example, are metabolic pathways that pass through such reactions. Formerly it was understood as those oxidation processes in which a substance consumes oxygen and reduction to those where it is released. Later, reduction was accepted as those reactions in which hydrogen was consumed and oxidation in which it is was released. Currently it considered as redox reactions to those in which the state or degree of oxidation of the reacting species is changed because an exchange of electrons occurs between the reactants, although neither oxygen nor hydrogen are involved. For a redox reaction to take place it is necessary the presence of two species: those that yield electrons (reductant), and those accepting them (oxidant). After the redox reaction occurs, the reductant species becomes the oxidized form anf therefore the oxidant one becomes the reductant form. The concept of redox reactions is reminiscent from the Bronsted-Lowry acid - base reactions. Both involve the transfer of one or more charged particles from one given to an acceptor, being the electrons the responsible of the redox reactions, meanwhile the protons of the neutralization processes

El trabajo actual tiene como fundamento el de poner en práctica todas las habilidades adquiridas en el diplomado de profundización CISCO, poniendo a prueba todo lo aprendido en los módulos del curso, los cuales fueron “Introducción a redes” y “Principios básicos de routing y switching”, luego a través de las habilidades recientemente aprendidas, se pretende resolver los escenarios dados en la topología y sus respectivas configuraciones.In this work the practice of skills test is developed as part of the final exam of the Cisco Profunding Diploma, applying the knowledge acquired during the academic period, divided into two modules; the first under the title of CCNA1: Introduction to networks and CCNA2: Basic principles of routing and switching. El Sector de la Maquinaria y Mecanización Agraria en España

En este trabajo se hace una exposición de la mecanización agraria en España en los últimos 65 años para ver cómo ha evolucionado este sector, que tanta importancia tiene en el nivel tecnológico de la agricultura de cualquier país. A continuación se presentan las estadísticas de la evolución del parque de tractores y máquinas agrícolas en España desde el año 1970 y los datos de las ventas en el sector en los últimos 10 años. También se exponen los datos del sector agrario en cuanto a población activa, la incidencia de la producción agraria en el PIB y el consumo energético. Se consideran los requisitos que deben cumplir los tractores y las máquinas que se vendan en España (que son idénticos al resto de los países de la UE) y las ayudas que se conceden para la adquisición de tractores y máquinas, incluyendo un estudio realizado en España para clasificar los tractores desde el punto de vista de su eficiencia energética con objeto de incentivar la adquisición de los tractores más eficientes. Por último se da un listado de centros tecnológicos y de investigación españoles en el ámbito de la Ingeniería Rural

Emergence of granular-sized magnetic bubbles through the solar atmosphere. II. Non-LTE chromospheric diagnostics and inversions

Magnetic flux emergence into the outer layers of the Sun is a fundamental mechanism for releasing energy into the chromosphere and the corona. In this paper, we study the emergence of granular-sized flux concentrations and the structuring of the corresponding physical parameters and atmospheric diagnostics in the upper photo- sphere and in the chromosphere. We make use of a realistic 3D MHD simulation of the outer layers of the Sun to study the formation of the Ca II 8542 line. We also derive semi-empirical 3D models from non-LTE inversions of our observations. These models contain depth-dependent information of the temperature and line-of-sight stratification. Our analysis explains the peculiar Ca II 8542 profiles observed in the flux-emerging region. In addition, we derive detailed temperature and velocity maps describing the ascent of magnetic bubbles from the photosphere to the chromosphere. The inversions suggest that, in active regions, granular-sized bubbles emerge up to the lower chromosphere where the existing large-scale field hinders their ascent. Aunque la Ley General de Educación representa un avance histórico en la legislación, semabstuvo de regular el derecho humano a la educación, y con ello dejó sin precisar la responsabilidad del Estado frente a su respeto, protección y garantía. Dos décadas después, no solamente no existe una Ley Estatutaria que lo regule, sino que un conjunto de distintas reformas han afectado las condiciones de su realización. Es el caso del financiamiento, que sufrió un importante ajuste, mediante el Acto Legislativo 01 y la Ley 715 de 2001, con lo cual se profundizó el subsidio a la demanda, en detrimento de las condiciones de la oferta, y restando dinamismo a los recursos que habían sido pactados para cerrar la brecha histórica de desfinanciamiento

Influence of Kaolinite Clay Supplementation on Growth Performance and Digestive Function in Finishing Calf-fed Holstein Steers.

Two experiments were conducted to examine the influence of kaolinite clay supplementation (0%, 1%, or 2% diet dry matter [DM] basis) on characteristics of digestion (Trial 1) and growth performance (Trial 2) in calf-fed Holstein steers fed a finishing diet. In Trial 1, 6 Holstein steers (539±15 kg) with ruminal and duodenal cannulas were used to evaluate treatment effects on characteristics of digestion. Kaolinite clay supplementation decreased total tract DM digestion (linear effect, p<0.01) without effects (p≥0.10) on site and extent of digestion of organic matter, neutral detergent fiber, starch and N, or ruminal microbial efficiency. There were no treatment effects on ruminal pH, volatile fatty acids molar proportions or estimated methane production. In Trial 2, 108 Holstein steers (132.4±5.6 kg) were used in a 308-d study to evaluate growth performance and carcass characteristics. There were no treatment effects (p>0.10) on average daily gain (ADG) and gain efficiency (ADG/dry matter intake). Kaolinite supplementation tended (linear effect, p = 0.08) to increase dietary net energy (NE) during the initial 112-d period. However, the overall (308-d) effect of supplementation dietary NE was not appreciable (p>0.20). However, due to the inertness of kaolinite, itself, the ratio of observed-to-expected dietary NE increased with kaolinite supplementation. This effect was more pronounced (linear effect, p 0.03) during the initial 224 d of the study. Overall (308 d), kaolinite supplementation tended to increase (linear effect, p = 0.07) dietary NE by 3% over expected. Kaolinite supplementation did not affect carcass weight, yield grade, longissimus area, kidney, pelvic and heart fat, and quality grade, but decreased (linear effect, p = 0.01) dressing percentage. It is concluded that kaolinite supplementation up to 2% of diet DM may enhance energetic efficiency of calf-fed Holstein steers in a manner independent of changes in characteristics of ruminal and total tract digestion
